This Teen Needs a Family!!!

DeAndre was born in Jan. 1996. He is in the 10th grade and is anxious to have a family to call his own. He is interested in playing the cello, mountain biking and cooking. If you would like more information about DeAndre please call The Adoption Exchange at 303-755-4756.

Some may look at DeAndre's picture and think he is almost grown and most of the parenting has already happened in his life. That is not the case. DeAndre needs someone that he can talk to when he is thinking about going to college, when he is thinking about buying a car, when he is thinking about getting married. Being a family doesn't end when they turn 18.

No matter how old we are - we all have days that we need to call home. :)

Please help spread the word about DeAndre and other children who are waiting in Colorado to be united with a family.

DeAndre's case # is 9284

Amber waits for a family

I'd like to introduce you to Amber, one of the many children in Colorado who needs a family to call their own. She is a 14-year-old 8th grader who loves to draw, sing, dance and write music. Amber would like to remain in contact with her brother in Colorado. She needs an advocate!

You can be an advocate by sharing her need for a family with those that you know.
And, the most important thing that you can do is pray. Pray for her as she waits - that her heart will be made ready for the family that God has planned for her and that this family will be supernaturally equipped to love and parent her. :)

If you would like more information about Amber or other children in CO that need a family contact the Adoption Exchange at: 303-755-4756. Amber's case number is 7301

This adorable little girl needs a family!!

Isn't she ADORABLE!!! Samyiah is waiting for a family to call her own. Samyiah was born in March 09'. Below is a brief profile written by her caseworker:

Samyiah is a very happy toddler who rarely cries or reacts negatively. Being in the middle of family interactions makes this tyke happy; she thrives when she is doted upon or given lots of verbal and physical attention. Samyiah is a curious child who has surpassed many of the expectations of medical professionals and continues to gain developmental ground at every turn. She was premature at birth and continues to use a g-tube and feeding machine. Physical therapy helps her strengthen her muscle tone and she receives occupational therapy to help her with dexterity and feeding herself. For a premature child, Samyiah is developing mostly on target. She is achieving milestones but sometimes a little later than other typical children her age. The caseworker prefers a family who will keep her current foster parents in her life, allowing them to assume the role of perhaps grandparents. Given Samyiah's many needs, it will likely be a challenge to find many qualified respite providers; the current caregivers are willing and desiring an ongoing relationship with Samyiah if at all possible. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services. For Colorado children, both homestudied and non-homestudied Colorado families are encouraged to inquire; only homestudied families from other states should do so.

Please pray for her forever family to be united with her soon!!! For more information about Samyiah's contact the Adoption Exchange at 303-755-4756. Her case number is #9370. :)
