Understanding Attachment Disorders

                          Finally Home Foundation -

Finally Home Foundation and Welcome Child Ministry would like to invite you to a lunch reception where David and Carol Boyd will be our guests.

Sunday – Dec. 9th at 11:30 in Room 211 at Timberline Church  Childcare is available during service

David and Carol served with YWAM for 36 years before moving to DC to work with Pastor Dick and Ruth Foth.

Through their many years with YWAM they gained extensive experience working with orphans around the world.  They are adoptive parents and most recently Carol completed her PH.D. dissertation on attachment disorders.

They have graciously offered to share their experience and expertise with us while they are visiting here in Colorado.

As we gain a better understanding of the challenges that attachment disorders bring to our families, the better equipped we will be as parents.

We look forward to seeing you.  Please RSVP so that we order enough lunch for everyone!

You could be that someone!!!! :)

This Christmas there are children who don't know what it is like to experience the love of a family.

The very depth of this need can be overwhelming if we don't focus on the "one thing" that God is calling us to do to speak out on their behalf.
I want to encourage you to ask God what is the "one thing" that you can do to make a difference in the life of a child who needs someone to advocate for them.

You could be that someone that God uses to change the life of a child. I can hear the struggle going on in your heart and mind as you read those words.

Those words that say:

"What? Who am I that I could have an impact in someone's life?"
"No way, I barely have time to do the things that I do."

I can hear those words, because I have heard those same words echo in my heart and mind as God has put a challenge before me. I know that God is faithful and God will equip you in the task that He puts before you. :)

James 1:22
But don't just listen to God's Word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourself.

Colorado Heart Gallery

Heart Gallery Vision: Picture a family for every child

Since 2005 Colorado Heart Gallery has featured the children who have waited the longest for a family. Each picture is taken by a professional photographer who has donated their time to produce photos that will reflect the personality and style of each child. Timberline Church is proud to host the Heart Gallery for the month of May. The display is set up near the South Auditorium entrance and on the north wall of the main floor. Please take time to stop and look at their pictures and pray for these children as they wait to be matched with their forever family. :)

"Adopting and Fostering in Faith"

Project 1.27 Vision:
"No Waiting Children in Colorado Foster Care by 2014"

Are you aware that children right here in Colorado are in need of a forever family?

Did you know that often there are not enough foster families to provide care in emergency situations when children need a secure place to be until it is safe for them to return to their homes?

Project 1.27 partners with counties and churches to train and equip prospective adoptive and foster families.

Timberline Church (2908 S. Timberline Road Fort Collins, CO) will be hosting an orientation for Project 1.27 on Friday, February 18th at 6:30pm in the East Auditorium.

You can register at: project127.eventbrite.com

Spread the news about this orientation!! Your voice may be the voice that enables a family to get the training they need to provide a safe place for a child temporarily or permanently. :)
